Connections and Whatnot
Rivals has a story about how Pelini became associated with Nebraska.
Long story short, in 2k3 Frank Solich went to Monte Kiffin who went to Pete Carroll who recommended Bo Pelini.
You could call it the old boy network. Solich and Kiffin go way back, Carroll was Kiffin's protege and in turn Carroll was Pelini's mentor.

Bo Pelini Takes Over at Nebraska
That's the headline from AP. I don't know but it kinda sounds like Bo has just taken the state hostage.
If you would have told me six months ago that Bo Pelini would be coaching the '08 season, i would have told you put down the crack pipe.
