It's the off season for football...
That means people start getting stupid in the forums. Little things get blown out of proportion, speculation runs rampant and everybody drinks the koolaid.

Connections and Whatnot
Rivals has a story about how Pelini became associated with Nebraska.
Long story short, in 2k3 Frank Solich went to Monte Kiffin who went to Pete Carroll who recommended Bo Pelini.
You could call it the old boy network. Solich and Kiffin go way back, Carroll was Kiffin's protege and in turn Carroll was Pelini's mentor.
